South East Asia a country full of history and culture, I cannot seem to keep away  from this part of the world,  lands   filled with the  richness of life, diversity of tribes, religions and cultures. Photographing a variety of faces that inhabit these wonderful  lands has enabled me to explore the local people close hand going  about their daily life. The hill tribes which occupy parts of the land intrigue me with their humble way of living.  The following images are people who inhibit the wondrous land known as South East Asia

Ho Chi Minh fashioned the Democratic Republic of Vietnam in 1945, The forces he led, fought and defeated the Japanese, the French, and finally the Americans in his fight for Vietnamese independence.Ho died of heart failure at age 79 on September 2, 1969, in Hanoi. Vietnamese reunification was finally achieved in 1975. Following their victory, the communists put Ho's embalmed body on display, but the act defied his final wishes. Ho Chi Minh, a practical man who looked to the peasants for his support, wanted his remains to be scattered over three Vietnamese hilltops. In Hanoi a group of Ho Chi Minh supporters visit his embalmed body which is still viewable to this day.

The Southern part of Laos is not as touristic as the north, for these reasons small villages are authentic.  One village in particular that i had visited had the typical huts which were family homes. Women walked around bare breasted and often men were smoking opium.  One disturbing factor was kids were smoking from the same contraption that the men were smoking from. This was their life, it was sad to see but they knew no better.....
